Product Overview
KTDK-TS-III type full digital VFD for electric excitation synchronous motor is a special VFD for the hoist driven directly by the low-speed electric excitation synchronous motor with single or double-winding. This VFD can be directly drive the motor which voltage level motor below 10kV, the max power could be up to 10MW, with a wider speed adjustment range and excellent low speed large torque characteristics.
operational principle
The KTDK-TS-III type VFD is mainly composed of power adjustment unit, excitation adjustment unit, human-machine interface and peripheral port. The VFD adopts high-performance DSP+FPGA as the main control chip. The system integrates advanced vector control, optical fiber communication, multi-level output, single / dual winding transformation control technology, and can efficiently realizes the double closed-loop adjustment of the speed and current of the motor. The motor excitation control function is realized through high performance DC device. The product has rich communication interface and can adapt to richer control interface requirements. Fully meet the requirements of high performance torque control and high precision speed adjustment for large low speed direct connection hoist.

The major functions
1. Closed loop vector control
To realize high precision control by individually control to the excitation current and torque current of the motor according to the magnetic field orientation principle.
2. Control the hoist suspending at zero speed
To control the hoist at any depth realizing full load torque at zero speed when take off the mechanical braking force. Ensure that the hoist is suspending with full load, which greatly improves the safety of the hoist system.
3. Motor rotation blocking protection
The blocking rotation braking force is applied to the mechanical system when a given speed is over zero. The VFD can drive the motor running at the max rated current limit. When mechanical braking force is removed, the speed could accelerate to the specified speed at a given acceleration.
4. Constant deceleration brake
The constant deceleration operation of the hoist system can be realized according to the given deceleration curve to ensure that the whole deceleration and stop of the mechanical system are controllable, avoiding the impact on the mechanical equipment and the power grid.
5. Multi-level voltage output waveform
The VFD adopts the technology of output voltage superposition from the power unit to realize the multi-level voltage output. It has low current distortion rate, small electromagnetic noise, excellent dynamic and static performance, low dv/dt and high power factor. It can greatly weaken the output voltage harmonic content and improve the output performance of the VFD.
6. High reliability
The VFD has unit bypass and winding switching control functions, which can drive the dual winding motor to achieve running of full load by full speed and full load by half speed , as well as deceleration running. It can improve the system reliability, to ensure the system continuous operation requirements.
